And one that whould develop any thoughtful person trouble. The 2004 presidential accelerate came down to a wire that stretched across Ohio. The film makers taped the bustle from the perspective of both sides. The stratagists on both sides are surprisingly launch about their tactics and, more importantly, about their opinions. Whatever the real merits of either party’s platform; Polls showed that the voters in Ohio agreed more with the Democratic positions, but in the waste more voted Republican, largely because the Republican’s kept their message simple: “You might not agree with George Bush but at least you’ll know where he stands.”

Kerry’s message meanwhile (although more Ohio voters actually agreed with it) was scattered and lacked a theme. Kerry was his enjoy worst enemy. He had a proclivity for tripping over his tongue, soundbites of which the Republicans were able to employ in their “Flip Flop” attacks. And when he should’ve spoken up during the swift boat attack ads, he remained peaceful. He also allowed himself to be taped doing something other than riding a horse or chopping wood, which seems to be a tall mistake in American politics. That his handlers allowed him to go wind surfing should’ve cost them any future political employment. I half expected to gape him curling in the next shot.

One Republican stratagist admits he was relieved when Howard Dean’s campaign crashed and burned, because he knew it would be easier to subterfuge Kerry. The Republican stratagists were quite shrewd, while the Democratic stratagists may not have profitable to hasten a highschool campaign.

One simple discouraged truth that emerges is that attack ads work. The electorate claims that they’re sick of mud slinging and that they don’t acknowledge to it, but in fact they do. And campaign stratagists are (or should be) well aware of this.

Another truth that emerges is the content superficiality of a campaign process that’s all about TV images and smear jobs. I’m surprised more people don’t hold away from the voting booths.

I was surprised that the supporters of either side really cared that distinguished about their candidate or their party. Both sides had supporters who were knowing and fair and dedicated, and who believed in what they were doing. And yet I had this feeling that what their party apparatus had to offer them for their herculean efforts wasn’t enough. To the victor goes a flat glass of champaign. To the vanquished goes the same. And if they said “participating in the democratic process was enough of a reward for them” I’d remind them that a process that lacks any kind of impartial dialog or exchange of ideas can hardly be called democratic. If it rests soley on mud slinging and ‘image’ it’s a beauty contest, and it’s a damed shame.

This is a very troublesome documentary. If you gain that democracy is a wonderful thing and that it hindges on a well informed electorate you’ll be saddened to scrutinize this. But leer it you must.

With interviews of strategists from both parties, the filmmaker presents a remarkably balanced and informative peep at politics in Ohio during the 2004 Presidential election. Some issues, like game-playing with the number of voting machines in each district, are only glancingly mentioned, but the overall presentation helps in idea how Kerry lost.

I honest watched the DVD today, and I have to say it’s Gracious! The recount quality is Superior, and so is the sound. I’m really impressed with this DVD. Certain, it doesn’t have many extras (unprejudiced a few “bonus trailers” and very short featurette), but the quality of the DVD itself is fantastic.

I’m cheerful I’ve finally been able to peep the movie again in widescreen. I’ve seen Short Circuit 2 recently on HBO (a few times), and I didn’t recognize that in the rotund veil version that I was missing so powerful going on in the movie.

If widescreen isn’t your thing, you peaceful have no worries. The DVD comes with the “plump camouflage” version as well. The disc is a flipper, meaning one side is widescreen while the other is fullscreen, thus satisfying both crowds.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Short Circuit 2! Click Here

As for the movie itself, I worship it. I’ve always loved this movie. I like it more than the first Short Circuit, and mainly because this one focuses more on “Number Five” (Johnny Five) than the first movie. It’s laughable at times, and there’s even one fragment of the movie I obtain teary-eyed, no joke. I believe this movie teaches many distinguished things, such as building and strengthening friendships (through the interaction between Johnny Five and the other characters), and it shows how to smash the boundaries and treat everyone as equals. It also shows you the delicacy of life…. (later in the movie–I won’t SPOIL IT for you!) .

I recommend this DVD for anyone that might need a grand laugh here and there. There are a few “cuss words” in the movie, so I don’t know if I would recommend this for children that are too young…. but I would despise for children to miss such a movie. I saw it when I was 8, and now I’m 21 and I mild cherish it. That says a lot for a movie that’s now “obsolete.”

If you determine to not recall it, then please at least rent it. I reflect you’ll come by it to be a charming movie that most people will secure something out of.

It would probably be considerable like this; two everyman protagonists, themes of loneliness and isolation and yearning, a robot who is far more humane than his human counterparts…

Unlike the first Short Circuit Movie where there wasn’t mighty time to peek the character of Jonhhy Five, or invest the machine with character, the second film does unbiased that and it does it very well. The viewer’s suspension of disbelief is fully engaged- even as an adult I regain myself lulled into feeling a deep sesne of pathos and compassion for Number Johnny Five. This is in allotment due to an unbelievable pre-CGI special effects/machine team and also due to the exceptionally unselfconscious acting of the human cast: Fisher Stevens ((the poor guye from hackers) ) is truly phenomenal as Ben Jharvi, an Indian ((I reflect) ) computer programmer who is as inept at expressing his feelings as Johnny Five is as opinion his acquire) ; Michael McKean and Cynthia Gibb are also vast (McKean is perfect as a petty conman who betrays and then saves Johnny Five) . The actors did an extraordinary job interacting with the machine and their performances add subtly beautiful layers of humor and sentiment to whta could have been a really unpleasant movie but instead becomes a apt thing to explore.

OK. The script is somewhat shoddy at times and the pacing is not so well-handled. There are some dead-end scenes, but for the most section everything really hangs together well- Johnny Five stumbles through several mishaps trying to understand why humans behave as they do and why he feels what he feels. Oh, there’s a glide scene region to the godawful “I need a hero,” song. The kitschy 80’s pop catch wears a tad thin afterawhile. But then, this is a kid film at heart, and a rather current one at that.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Short Circuit 2! Click Here

One scene always breaks my heart, one of my all-time approved poignant scenes: Johnny five, after being caught by the cops, is taken and chained in the police basement- the stolen property room. He is slowly reading two books, page by page. His friends reach to have him released- when allowed to leave he breaks his chains easily and sadly leaves (you observe, he could have left at anytime had he wanted to; there’s some Sadean undertones in how #J5 repeatedly allows himself to be demeaned and debased and almost destroyed by humans without fighting serve lethally- which he easily could… a postmodern and mechanical kin to Justine, perhaps) .

The books he was so slowly reading were Pinochio and Frankenstein. It always slays me, unprejudiced like the Rockbiter’s monologue in The Never Ending Record (”They examine like tall, strong hands…”) .

This one is so worthy better, in my view, than Spielberg’s contemptible A.I., if only in that Stevie over-reached himself (again) on that crite film; trying to design a ’serious’ film about ’serious’ issues… and then he tacked on a completely odious ending.

This film has no such pretensions- it mostly aims at fun. Because of that it achieves more than most serious cinema struggling with the same themes of technology and identity.

Please trace that this is a review mainly about the packaging of the discs and the special features. While I don’t intend on saying too noteworthy about the seventh season itself, I will say that it was far valid to a dreadful season six. Also, if you are reading this, I can only buy that you’ve seen the seventh season and are contemplating on whether or not to select this season on DVD.

Buy,Download, Or Stream 24: Season Seven! Click Here

To commence with, this is by far the best packaging I’ve ever seen for a series placed on DVD. They managed to pack six discs into a case the size of your normal DVD case complete with a slide cloak. Now I know what you’re thinking: “How’d they bag six discs into a case that thin? ” and “What happened to the seventh disc containing all the bonus features? ”

To reply the first request, the inside of the front of the case and the inside of the serve of the case each own one disc with a tab through the center circle of the disc. The other four discs are attached via two plastic dividers with one disc on each side of the first and one disc on each side of the second, all held in status with tabs through the center circle like the others.

Buy,Download, Or Stream 24: Season Seven! Click Here

To reply the second seek information from, I really don’t contemplate it needs a seventh bonus disc. I know a lot of people are sorrowful about the lack of one, but the truth is that if you added maybe one or two features per disc, you wouldn’t need a seventh disc and in the demolish, it’d objective bewitch up disc set, especially if a feature directly relates to an episode on a positive disc.

With that said, I do feel this season was somewhat lacking in the special features department. Discs one, five and six all have bonus features added, but that peaceful leaves three other discs that could have included some sort of feature as well. My biggest disappointment is the lack of a prequel to state up season eight. That aside, this does have some nice features including commentary on 12 episodes.

Here’s a rundown disc-by-disc of what to expect:

Disc One:

8:00 AM – 9:00 AM (Optional commentary by executive producer/director John Cassar and Carlos Bernard.)

9:00 AM – 10:00 AM

10:00 AM – 11:00 AM (Optional commentary by executive producer Manny Coto, co-executive producer Brannon Braga and Carlos Bernard.)

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM

The Femucite Festival Presents: The Music of 24

Regarding the commentary on disc one, it is simply phenomenal. Carlos Bernard is so fun to listen to and I contemplate it some of the best commentary from any season of 24. Regarding the bonus feature, you’ll probably like it if you savor the musical procure from the note. Sean Callery is a genius!

Disc Two:

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Optional commentary by executive producer/director John Cassar and Annie Wersching.)

1:00 PM – 2:00 PM

2:00 PM – 3:00 PM

3:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Disc Three:

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM (Optional commentary by executive producer David Fury and Hakeem Kae-Kazim.)

5:00 PM – 6:00 PM (Optional commentary by executive producer Manny Coto, co-executive producer Brannon Braga and Annie Wersching.)

6:00 PM – 7:00 PM

7:00 PM – 8:00 PM (Optional commentary by co-executive producer/director Brad Turner and Tony Todd.)

Again, the commentary with both Hakeem Kae-Kazim (Ike Dubaku) and Tony Todd (General Juma) is fun to listen to. I always devour listening to the poor guys provide commentary because you secure the impression that these are generally nice, apt people as opposed to the characters they record.

Disc Four:

8:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Optional commentary by co-executive producer/director Brad Turner, music composer Sean Callery and James Morrison.)

9:00 PM – 10:00 PM (Optional commentary by executive producer Evan Katz, co-executive producer Juan Carlos Coto, Annie Wersching and Bob Gunton.)

10:00 PM – 11:00 PM

11:00 PM – 12:00 AM

Disc Five:

12:00 AM – 1:00 AM

1:00 AM – 2:00 AM (Optional commentary by executive producer Howard Gordon, Carlos Bernard and Jeffrey Nordling.)

2:00 AM – 3:00 AM

3:00 AM – 4:00 AM

Hour 19: The Ambush

Disc Six:

4:00 AM – 5:00 AM

5:00 AM – 6:00 AM (Optional commentary by executive producer Evan Katz, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Glenn Morshower.)

6:00 AM – 7:00 AM (Optional commentary by executive producer David Fury, co-executive producer Alex Gansa and Glenn Morshower.)

7:00 AM – 8:00 AM (Optional commentary by executive producers Howard Gordon and John Cassar.)

14 Deleted Scenes (Optional commentary by co-executive producer Stephen Kronish and producer Paul Gadd.)

24-7: The Untold Story

I bear the bonus features and especially episode commentary are nicely done even if watched only once out of curiosity. (I consider, to date, the only bonus feature I’ve watched literally hundreds of times was the 100th Episode Reel from season five’s bonus disc.) Most people will probably purchase this DVD for the season itself and if that’s the case, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the packing job. However, if you’re buying the seventh season on DVD, you’re probably a diehard fan and intend on watching the extra yell as well.

While the bonus stuff is nice, I do deem it lacked somewhat as I beget they could have added maybe one more feature to one of the three discs that lacked extra order. My other disappointment was that it doesn’t provide a list of the modern airdates like past 24 season DVD releases nor does it include the episode synopsis for each episode. That aside, the packaging presentation is wonderfully plan out and this will definitely manufacture a nice compact addition to your 24 collection.

Just got finished watching this on TV and yes I am one of those “tedious people” who will go out and lift this tomorrow. And I will gape it again as soon as I do because that’s unbiased how big this prove really is. I cant understand why people who are supposed to be such stout fans of the point to are actually furious they are releasing the dvd early. Wouldn’t that be what you want?

But anyway…on to the indicate….

24 Season 7 will go down as one of the premiere seasons in the shows history. Maybe, from begin to do, the best since Season 1. After a lackluster Season 6, I contemplate it was honorable to say that the writers and producers of the exhibit had a distinct opportunity to launch over and inaugurate unique. And they did. What we got was a radiant, tight, and extraordinarily acted season with the same raging action and residence twists but calm with a different feel to it. By relocating out of L.A and into D.C. we got the chance to notice Jack Bauer out of his element for the first time. At first I was skeptical of this, as many were. But after the first episode of the season I realized that my skepticism was for nothing. The go to D.C. was perfect and it brought so considerable to this season. And as we progressed from twist to twist, from villain to villain, the one thing that stayed apparent was that this season was absolutely lustrous. Nothing will ever compare to the originality of Season 1. And the show’s creators know that. But they weren’t trying to replicate that. Instead they were trying to bring us a season that we will remember, instead of tossing away like we did with season 6. Season 7 was a triumph and it’s honest another example of why we preserve watching.

“The Dirty Dozen”, Robert Aldrich’s 1967 adventure classic, would redefine a whole genre of films, as public attitudes towards warfare and heroism changed, due to Vietnam. With ‘heroes’ who were certainly not qualified, a mission that would require a level of cruelty film audiences had never before seen from American fighting men, and graphic language and bloodshed, the impact of the the film was both immediate (despite substantial ‘box office’, many critics panned the film as ‘disturbing’ and glorifying violence), and continuing (influencing films as diverse as “Patton” and “Saving Private Ryan”) . It can be viewed at many levels, as a crackling superb adventure story, an ‘anti-establishment’ and anti-war statement, the ultimate ‘buddy’ film…few films have generated as remarkable controversy, or stood the passage of time, better!

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Dirty Dozen! Click Here

Based on E.M. Nathanson’s new (of rumored ‘Death Row’ convicts offered a pardon or reduction of sentence for volunteering for a suicide mission), with a spacious gallop of the Pathfinders’ legendary “Filthy Thirteen” of WWII tossed in, the property was purchased as a potential starring vehicle for John Wayne. The Duke passed on the project, however (choosing to gain “The Green Berets”, instead) . Director Aldrich never envisioned Wayne in the lead, preferring WWII Marine vet Lee Marvin in the complex role of maverick Maj. John Reisman, and the actor, unusual from winning an Oscar for “Cat Ballou”, was dead-on perfect in the fraction. Aged stars Ernest Borgnine, Robert Ryan, Ralph Meeker, Robert Webber, George Kennedy, and Richard Jaeckel were cast as Marvin’s military allies and adversaries.

For the “Front Six” of the Dozen, irritable Charles Bronson (another WWII vet), John Cassavetes (who would garner an Oscar nomination), Telly Savalas (in the most ‘whacked-out’ role in his career), Clint Walker (of “Cheyenne” TV fame), football narrative Jim Brown (in only his second film), and celebrated singer Trini Lopez (in his film debut) would dominate the camouflage time, with a “Assist Six” of character actors in grand smaller roles, simply filling out the rest of the twelve parts. But a movie ‘miracle’ occurred; when Walker objected to a scene where, as a bogus ‘General’, he would idiotically review an Airborne unit (feeling it demeaned Native Americans, who his character portrayed), Aldrich passed the scene to “Relieve Six” actor Donald Sutherland…and the scene would spectacularly start his career, leading to his starring role in “M.A.S.H.”

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Dirty Dozen! Click Here

Aldrich’s meticulous shooting style, and the often rainy British weather (where the film was shot), more than doubled the shooting schedule, and after seven months on position, Trini Lopez (on the advice of friend Frank Sinatra), informed Aldrich and the producers that he was missing singing dates, and would need a pay hike to continue. To Lopez’ surprise, Aldrich ‘dropped’ him, having him die in the climactic parachute topple!

The director was warned that if he didn’t eliminate the film’s most controversial scene (pouring gasoline and dropping grenades on the women guests, as well as the Nazi officers seeking refuge in the bomb shelters), he would lose any chance of a ‘Best Director’ Oscar. After soul-searching, he left the scene in (”War is Hell, and HAS to be portrayed that diagram”), and while he sacrificed the prize, Robert Aldrich gave the film a brutal honesty that subsequent wars would sadly verify.

With loads of Disc Two Special Features that commence up the film and gives an insight into why it has become a ‘classic’ (including the first “Dirty Dozen” TV ’sequel’, a Lee Marvin Marine ‘Leadership’ training film, and an fantastic documentary on the “Filthy Thirteen”), it is absolutely an distinguished for any ‘War Film’ library.

“The Dirty Dozen” survived contemporary criticism, and has proven to be one of the most enduring war films of all time, as modern today as when it debuted in 1967.

Wow…this HD presentation captures everything, including (great maligned) film grain. It is most likely a better presentation than this film had when originally released to theaters. Visuals are wonderfully determined, the print is exceptionally super and the sound, for a movie almost 40 years customary, is top shelf. This is definitely the version to maintain!!

First and foremost, the publisher has promised that this DVD spot will arrive with the unusual, uncut editions instead of the crappy syndicated versions they faded in the first season.

So, with a decent release, this is a must for Cosby fans, given that this is one of the best seasons. Obviously the writers serene had a lot of ideas, the kids were young and laughable…

This is the first season Sabrina Leauf joins the regular staff as Sondra. There’s also some enchanting guest stars, such as Robin Givens, Sonia Braga, Stevie Wonder or Tanya Wright.

Buy,Download, Or Stream The Cosby Show – Season 2! Click Here

Really, don’t miss this boxset if you are a fan. And if you are buying for a fan, this is a big gift.

The Cosby Point To season 2 DVDs are indeed uncut. I bought them today. I watched episode 16 “The Dentist” from an stale recording I have of the syndicated version, then watched the same episode on the original DVDs. There is additional material in the DVD episode. Clair argues with Theo about the fresh highrise being built, as she is upset about their water usage. Cliff reveals that Theo is alive to because he heard 55 stewardesses would be spellbinding into the highrise. Also, Dr. Burns (played by Danny Kaye) tells two jokes with the huge teeth model instead of one. This puts the episode speed time at 23:39 instead of 22 minutes for the sydicated version.

This is the only episode I have compared. I request the others to be uncut as well. Kudos to Urbanworks for doing justice to the best sitcom ever.

This six Disk DVD Spot is the beginning of a fabulous adventure. Joss Whedon knows what people want, the two basic ingredients in any Demonstrate no matter what medium, and they are dependable characters and satisfactory stories. Once you have these two factors you have a hit no matter what genre. If you care about pleasant anecdote telling, extraordinary writing and acting as well as a slow the scenes crew that is collectively an incredibly talented bunch, then this is the DVD dwelling for you. The Characterize and Sound are theater quality. The closed captioning and Audio arrive in other languages besides English. It’s dilemma packed with all sorts of extra bonus specials. The Radiant creators, Joss Whedon, David Greenwalt and other staff members are at their very best, fair as they were with their work on Buffy (which is also a must enjoy) . I not only highly recommend this Season disk plot, but the other four seasons as well. Quite a bit of quality work went into the making of all five seasons. All five are a primary win for any Angel fan! It’s completely impossible to be anything but extremely overjoyed with this buy as well as the rest of the series.

David Boreanaz (Angel) and Charisma Carpenter (Cordelia) are perfect together. Him as the brooding vampire and her as the gleaming smiling somewhat shallow, a minute corrupt and lost without her lifelong wealth. They near together, even though they are from totally different worlds to acquire Angel investigations. Glenn Quinn (Doyle) an Irish actor plays a half demon half human with visions from “The Powers That Be”. These visions are intended to abet Angel in his mission of redemption. Glenn adds a sure mystery plus humorous relief to his character. While being a relieve to Angel and trying to derive his absorb redemption, he otherwise spends most of his time drinking scotch and chasing Cordelia. Unfortunately, in Episode 9 entitled “Hero” he gets to atone for his past. Doyle knows he will lose his life in completing his task and passes his visions onto Cordelia with a kiss. We destroy up losing a astounding actor. He was a ample asset to the exhibit. Sadly in loyal life we lost him as well. With the Doyle gone there was an opportunity to add someone modern to the indicate. Alexis Denisof reprises his role from Buffy as (Wes) . He shows up on Angel as a rogue demon hunter after being fired from The Watchers Council. Eventually he joins Angel investigations. Alexis Denisof is one of the most versatile actors I have ever had the pleasure to perceive. He has that special ability of being the level-headed sophisticate ie: a James Bond type and on a dime he can be the worlds greatest comedic doofs or fools if you acquire. He has an wonderful range of abilities as shown throughout the series. He was by far the BEST choice to replace Glenn Quinn. Any reveal isn’t complete without our villains. Christian Kane (Lindsey) and Stephanie Romanov (Lila) both play lawyers for Wolfram and Hart and Angels worst nemesis. Both are consummate actors. My current is Lila, a self professed vicious bitch. She is the Queen of the gray areas. Lila adds sex appeal while unexcited being inferior. They both are a lot of fun while calm being astronomical adversaries for Angel and his crew. Joss Whedon once again comes through with proving to us that “Buffy The Vampire Slayer” wasn’t a lucky fluke, but the catalyst to more Broad television. I not only highly recommend this Season DVD region, but the other four seasons as well. Any moral Angel fan must complete or begin their place with this one. Select this before it gets sold out and you miss your chance to continue your collection. ORDER IMMEDIATELY AND DON’T FORGET TO Choose SEASONS TWO, THREE, FOUR AND FIVE WHILE YOUR AT IT.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Angel – Season One! Click Here

Okay so we all know that Angel was always going to have a hard job living up to the expectations residence by Buffy, and okay so it isn’t quite as honorable. That certainly doesn’t mean that this series isn’t grand in its gain just. Region up in L.A. we have Angel (David Boreanaz) running his bear detective agency with the wait on of Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter) and Doyle (the sadly deceased Glenn Quinn) . It’s a lot darker than Buffy, or at least it was when Buffy was smooth in its fourth series, and some would argue Buffy series 6 to be even darker than Angel. The main theme is obviously redemption and what we have here is probably the closest to the kind of monster-of-the-week, no narrative arc material that Joss Whedon and David E. Greenwalt have ever done.

To say this isn’t as genuine as Buffy is kind of a cop-out, because there are some absolutely superior episodes here. In particular there is I Will Remember You, an absolutely heartbreaking episode in which Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Angel are reunited, but only for a day and of which only he will carry the memory. There’s also In The Gloomy, the closest the explain has got to something that’s really disturbing, in a detestable torturer character. This episode also sees the crossover of Oz (Seth Green) and Spike (James Marsters), with probably honest about the funniest speech that has ever approach out of Spike’s mouth starting the episode off. What will really procure your attention though is the pretty, spectacular two-parter where we glance Faith’s (Eliza Dushku) return in Five By Five and Sanctuary. Both shows have always shown an astounding tenderness to this character that is practically abnormal among other series, with Faith being presented as a loyal person rather than your typical dreadful guy. After a fairly close-to-the-bone torture scene who can say that they didn’t feel a puny shiver down their spine as Faith pounded on Angel’s chest begging him to slay her. This is drama of the best kind, this is chracterisation of the best sort, heck this is TV of the best sort.

Buy,Download, Or Stream Angel – Season One! Click Here

The rest of the series seems to have a main theme of redemption and lost souls in, appropriately enough, the City of Angels. Worth pointing out are Lonely Hearts (which introduces the compelling character Kate Lockley – please can we eye a return of her? ) and Rm W/A Vu, in which Cordelia buys a novel house only to acquire it’s disturbed. Hero is one of the most tragic episodes, in which Doyle sacrifices himself to keep his friends, something that has grown magnificently in poignancy since the tragic death of Glenn Quinn, who plays Doyle, recently. After that we glean to eye the reappearance of Wesley (Alexis), a character which Angel has done wonders with considering the almost universal cringing that accompanied his role on Buffy that has now turned him into a character with surprising depth. Given his chance to sparkle in the Exorcist-riff I’ve Got You Under My Skin he really pulls it off, especially given the hint at his relationship with his father that has been threatening to bubble over ever since. Angel is also reliable of pulling a CSI clinical crime like investigation in the utterly compelling Somnabulist, perhaps the most underrated episode of the series, in which one of Angel’s ‘pupils’ comes succor to haunt him. The last two-parter to kill the series is also entirely bewitching, with the first definite signs of what was to become Angel’s major threat, lawyer’s firm Wolfram and Hart. This is action drama of the highest quality that isn’t shrinking to acquire some respectable emotion in there at the same time.

Angel series 1 is a note that’s trying to pick up its feet, and it finds them. Now in its fourth series, season 1 shows the foundations that made it nearly as current as the cult phenomenon of Buffy.

This dvd offers four Dora cartoons, one of which being a Christmas themed episode. The Santa episode is very cute and sweet, one of the best Dora episodes I have seen! Even Swiper is a sweetie in this demonstrate! My three year extinct was enthralled with this dvd and asked to examine it repeatedly during the Christmas season. It is a sizable addition to our family dvd collection.

I do agree with another reviewer who wrote that the ‘Quack Quack’ episode is strange. I agree, it is definitely not one of the best. However, the Santa expose was so broad it makes up for the shortcomings of the other. :)

A few tiny things could be better…

1st, Only one of the episodes is even remotely Christmas related, which is handsome. But since the kids will want to observe the others for the rest of the year, and I can scrutinize being a limited annoyed at watching the holiday episode in May, I contemplate it would’ve been nice for this episode to be the last, or to have an option to play the others without this one.

Another thing I didn’t care for was all of the advertisements at the beginning. I wonder if this really sells anything??? All we ever do is hit the search button several times to obtain through them all.

One astonishing thing about this DVD compared to other Dora DVD we have is that you CAN play all the episodes with honest one button, instead of having to go into a sub-menu to catch to the Bonus episodes (too considerable for a 2 year stale to do on their have) .

The Christmas episode is blooming and fun to scrutinize during the holidays. Two of the other three are dazzling, but the “Quack Quack” episode where Dora and Boots jump into a coloring book is a itsy-bitsy odd… even my 3 year frail thinks so. Not awful, impartial… not quite apt. I wouldn’t recommend this as a first Dora DVD (Meet Diego or Tidy Laughable Fiesta, for example, are considerable better for overall mumble) .

Maybe it’s not the best movie as far as dialogue goes, but for being an action movie about robots from outer place, it’s excellent. The transformations are well-behaved enough to not raise doubt about the mechanics of them (which is advantageous for me as an aerospace engineer, because I tend to peek these things) . This is the kind of movie that makes broad HD televisions and high-quality sound systems worth having.

For a nerd that primitive to drool over this indicate as a kid, this movie hooks you from the very beginning. From Optimus Prime’s summary intro (with Peter Cullen peaceful at the helm of our common alien semi) to the Decipticon attack on the military evil, you have no doubts that this is Transformers. Shia LaBeouf makes his entrance and proves the perfect section for this movie. He’s actually ravishing silly and acts the fragment well. As far as the rest of the humans in this cast, not as distinguished can be said.

After the awesome introduction, the first fragment of the movie deals mainly with Shia LaBeouf’s Sam purchasing a Camaro that actually turns out to be the Autobot Bumblebee (in the cartoon, originally a VW Bug. I reflect the yellow VW Bug in the car lot next to Bumblebee was a homage.) Sam unknowingly uses his alien car to brand a girl. Of course she actually is impressed when they accept out it’s an alien. There are some fair droll scenes in this fragment of the movie as well as some action scenes that are very well done.

Soon comes the arrival of the other Autobots and they declare to Sam their legal purpose, which is to locate the Allspark -a worthy method valid of transforming a planet- before the Decepticons net a possess of it. I opinion at this point that the lifeless parts of the movie were over, but not quite. From here we go into a few too many scenes dealing with side characters, from video game playing computer experts to goofy secret agents whose quirks border slapstick comedy. Too many of these characters could be chalked up as silly relief, and most of what they attributed was not very droll. There was a slightly amusing but overly long scene where Sam was trying to cover the autobots while he searched through his house for a relic they needed. And then arrived John Turtorro (playing the said goofy secret agent) whom I worship, but who severely overstayed him welcome in this. Other performances, namely John Voight’s, were fair uninteresting campy and the cookie cutter dialogue was cringe inducing at times.

Luckily, I forgot most of that by the time the movie got to its last act. Once the Decepticons near in force the movie is a non halt jog of action and jaw dropping effects. While someone who’s not familiar with the characters and sage might not care what the outcome is, I found myself with memories as a kid, watching the 1986 movie for the first time. I forgot about the humans and their ho-hum sotrylines as my celebrated characters and toys from my childhood crashed and shot and ripped each other apart. I forgot that I was watching CG effects as the transformers examine as genuine as the environment they’re destroying. The action scenes are larger than life and I’m amazed at how well the battles of the cartoons translated onto tremendous conceal. The transformers themselves were all very well done, applying steady physics to their transformations and robot appearances. They survey genuine and unusual but don’t lose the heart of what the fanboys loved about them from encourage in the day. And Hugo Weaving as Megatron was genius. I missed hearing the new Starcream, but the current deny actor died many years ago, and the two or three lines Starcream had in this sounded righteous.

Despite the immense flaws in acting, dialogue and script, I left this movie with that rare itch to want to go straight wait on inside and peruse it again. From the previews, it looked like the movie was going to engage a realistic perspective and display the warring alien machines from a human point of belief. But that’s really not the case at all. In every other Michael Bay movie, the corny dialogue and overdramatic characters waste an otherwise trustworthy premise. But Transformers is based on a cartoon, so why shouldn’t the movie feel like one? Here it works. It’s vast, dull nostalgic fun that the kid in me has been after for 20 years.

I’m not going to review the movie itself as it’s clearly been out long enough I’m fair going to give a rapidly review for those fascinating as to the bluray transfer. I picked up the disc yesterday and watched it last night. The quality of this bluray disc is sparkling! The clarity is top quality and the color vibrance is fabulous, without looking false or hyped. I didn’t inspect any new artifacts like edge enhancement nor any noise reduction – I watched it on my 52″ Samsung LCD but didn’t secure honest up at the veil to inquire of for these things. But from where I was sitting it looked flawless. The sound is also fanstic and what I noticed the most is that the movie doesn’t suffer from the irritating dramatic volume changes. Yes, during action scenes things collect louder as they normally should but it wasn’t so remarkable that I had to stride the volume control, which is hugely irritating and becoming more popular in today’s original releases. If you level-headed don’t fetch what I mean I’m referring to the dialog being considerable lower in volume to the tremendously loud action scenes. Anyhow, this disc doesn’t suffer from that, yet there is tranquil a gracious amount of bass to attach you into the feel of the action scenes.

I highly recommend this disc!

*EDIT – forgot to mention there are several extras listed on the serve of the box and all of them are listed as being in HD as well. Being that I don’t have the case in front of me though I can’t list the extra’s titles.

The represent quality was top-notch, as well as the audio. This has always been one of my accepted sci-fi movies, Stagger or not. It is worth avoiding the DVD until you can rob up this version!

Tears of the Sun is more than what the trailers gain it out to be. It’s not your normal action movie, meaning the spot isn’t objective an excuse to have lots of things blow up. The sage focuses more on the internal struggles of Willis’s character than anything else. If you watched the trailer and were hoping for Die Hard 4: The African Edition, you will be sorely disappointed.

The region revolves around a mission by US Navy SEALs to go into a hostile location of Nigeria and rescue an American doctor. The doctor (Monica Bellucci) is living at Mission, taking care of sick and dying Nigerians. Getting the doctor out is only a minor hassle, the actual peril begins when Willis’ characters internal struggles of following orders vs. doing what is factual pick up the best of him and he decides to try and assign all the Nigerian patients. From there all hell breaks loose and there are a few surprises before the raze.

As I said before, this is not your normal action movie. It doesn’t go gonzo on the special effects and explosions, but obviously this is a war movie and there is plenty of violence arrive the kill. The thing is, by the time people do commence dying, you will care. On a side effect, there are several parts of the movie that are unrealistic (the main one being a Navy SEAL going against explicit orders from his commanding officer), but these can be easily forgiven and overlooked.

The combat depicted is on par with the best original war movies, such as Murky Hawk Down and We Were Soldiers. It’s very realistic. The “mountainous finale” battle at the raze is a resplendent intense 30 minutes, and is best experienced at a theater with proper sound. Overall, this is a very satisfying movie that is worth the exorbitant imprint prices these days.

Tears of the Sun brings Bruce Willis relieve to the rebel-with-a-cause-and-a-big-gun role. This isn’t a date movie. Lots of guerrilla combat, lots of blood and a subplot that is revealed only well into the movie — and I won’t spoil it for you. If the basic region is nothing original, the film comes together very well, and it outclasses a lot of other action flicks.

Willis (as Lt. Waters) leads his men into Nigeria to rescue an American doctor. In a fit of conscience, after having achieved his mission, Waters orders his choppers to return so that he can rescue the band of doomed refugees. We feel genuine about that. Especially after seeing what the Nigerian rebels did to the hospital after Waters and company evacuated. If you collect that a special forces lieutenant would disobey orders and follow his conscience, the rest of the yarn unfolds well.

Visually, Tears of the Sun is a stunner. You will feel as though you spent a couple of hours in the rain forest. Some of the gorier scenes ogle like the sort of thing that might be omitted from news coverage of such events, but it was enough for me. The stir is intense — not worthy time spent chatting around the campfire. I can’t vouch for the accuracy of the military operations, but Willis is very credible in this role, and realism tends to accumulate out over dramatic licence. At least until the final sequences.

If you like action films with at least a layer of human interest, you will probably appreciate Tears of the Sun. It falls short only in the ways most desperation mission movies do — some narrow escapes that require us to be grateful for our heroes without overanalyzing. … But the overall writing is quite trustworthy. …

Tears of the Sun may not be the film of the year, but it holds together well and kept the audience absorbed. It shows American soldiers as sterling, confident and caring. That’s a favorable image, and one that sends you home thinking that our men and women in uniform can do a lot of marvelous.
